For a glamorous (and noisy) scene in River Oaks, head for this lavish seafood emporium. Look around and dive in: a stunning aquarium fills one corner, and the ceiling undulates like waves. The kitchen, led by chef Mark Holley, prepares catches from all over the world, from Gulf Coast shellfish to Dover sole. You can feast on global flavors: Mediterranean, Thai, Spanish, Vietnamese, French, and Louisiana Creole. And although Pesce is now part of the Landry's restaurant
group, you don't feel as though you've settled for a boring chain.

This is by far the best seafood restaurant in Houston. The Chef trained at Commander's Palace in New Orleans and it showed. The appetizers were original and seasoned just right. The Entrees were awesome. Get the roasted whole fish. It was exceptional. Service is pleasant and the atmosphere was excellent. Worth the price.

Be aware - this restaurant is no longer owned by Mr. Mandola and Mr. Carrabba, and it's not quite the same. Just not as friendly, not as noisy, not as "hip" as before. The bright spot is that Chef Mark Holley is still here. Go for the oysters!
