Fodor's Review

This memorial and education center to those who died and survived the "Final Solution" is housed in a stark, cylindrical edifice. Devastating and uplifting, the main exhibit, "Bearing Witness: A Community Remembers," can be viewed individually or by tour. The newest addition to the permanent exhibit is a 1942 German Holocaust–era railcar, the type that was used to carry millions of innocent victims to their deaths.

A History Lesson for Today

I went expecting a history lesson, but what I got was a lesson on life today and how I need to consider what role I choose in life. This museum is really an education on choices we each need to think about... I am forever changed by my visit to Holocaust Museum Houston and I highly recommend visiting it. It has a personal touch as Houston survivor stories are part of the exhibit, and survivors actually volunteer there. I got to meet a wonderful man

who told me about his experience. A must stop while in Houston!
