If you're in the mood to stay late or arrive early, you can head upstairs to the lounge for beautiful people, generous-sized cocktails, and mid-century glam.

Really surprised by the review from 4/2006. benjy's is always consistently good food. It can be a bit noisy, as it is more of a casual, bistro dining experience. The service is not formal either, but friendly and attentive. We love their brunches and it is always a treat for our family to eat there.

I never would have found this place on my own. A friend of mine took me here on a Thursday night and I would have never been able to find my way back to the hotel. Parking was tricky but well worth it!! We first went upstairs to the lounge and had drinks, the waitress helped us decide on a glass of shiraz and something called the fish out of water (soooo good!). Then the hostess took us downstairs and sat us at a great table where we could see
the bar and the kitchen (interesting art on the wall too, the waiter said it was on display for some art gallery). We started with some absolutely awesome goat cheese cakes and an amazing tuna pizza (waitress's suggestion from upstairs). The waiter was great, he was knowledgeable and funny. The rest of the meal was a blur of fantastic food from the butter lettuce salad to the osso bucco and all the way to the cobbler! I can't wait to come back to Houston and get that pizza (thanks sarah!).
