Texas Energy Museum

Fodor's Review:

In Beaumont's museum district, this high-tech place has robots depicting the Texas oil industry's long, colorful history. Displays note the local connection, including the famous Spindletop Well that led to Texas's becoming the unchallenged leader in oil production. Children receive free or discounted admission.

  • Cost: $2
  • Open: Tue.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 1-5
