Fodor's Review:

East Texas is probably one of the last places you'd expect to find an award-winning winery, but the Lone Star State is full of surprises. Messina Hof consistently produces some of the best wines in the state. Visitors can tour the property and participate in wine tastings, as well as sample wines by the glass (along with tapas) at the wine bar, dine at the on-site Vintage House restaurant, and stay at the Villa, the winery's B&B. Messina Hof also offers sunset seminars and cooking classes.
