Bryan-College Station

Welcome to Aggieland! As you drive into Bryan-College Station, you'll notice a marked increase in the number of maroon shirts, hats, signs—even cars—bearing the ATM logo (with the hat of the T stretching over the A and M). This is the home of Texas A&M University, the second largest institution of higher learning in the state (second only to A&M's number-one rival, UT Austin), and one of the ten largest schools in the country. As with many university towns, life here pretty much revolves around the school—especially on football weekends. College Station's main drags are University Drive (FM 60), Texas Avenue, and George Bush Drive, all of which border the campus. Historic downtown Bryan is less commercial and has a slower pace.
