Fodor's Review:

Conrad Hilton built this hotel in 1925; today the InterContinental property is a National Historic Landmark. The hotel is on the eastern edge of Downtown, next to the Universities Center at Dallas and within walking distance of the original Neiman Marcus and the Majestic Theatre. Common areas and guest rooms reflect the Indigo chain's emphasis on refreshment, with cheerful colors and beach accents. Complimentary transportation is provided within a 3-mi radius, an area that includes Music Hall at Fair Park. Pros: Good value for Downtown lodging; cheerful, accommodating staff. Cons: Surrounding neighborhood is somewhat sketchy, nearby dining options are limited.
