Of course Austin is the home to this original theater experience, where dinner and a movie (and a bucket of beer, to boot) all happen in one place. At one of the many locations throughout town, moviegoers can order fantastic cuisine, such as the Drafthouse's famous fried pickles, while sitting down to enjoy box-office hits, classics, or indie films. Be warned: you may never want to watch a movie any other way. Open year-round.

Alamo Drafthouse is hands down my favorite thing to do in Austin. They have taken the movie-going experience to a whole other level. Any of the locations of this theater around Austin are great but if you have the opportunity to go to a Master Pancake show, do it do it do it. Its a great laugh and an all-around good time, no matter what the movie. Just be sure to buy tickets as far in advance as possible because the shows sell out FAST.
