The kid sister of Perla's, Clark's opened its doors late in 2012. It's the fifth of chef/entrepreneur Larry McGuire's portfolio of restaurants, which include Lamberts Barbecue, Elizabeth Street, Fresa's, and the aforementioned Perla's. This hip and cozy oyster bar tucked into a corner lot in Clarksville has all the appeal of a sophisticated seafood restaurant, but all the comfort of a neighborhood hangout. You'll find a pristine selection of raw oysters served with fresh
horseradish, house cocktail sauce and a tangy vinegar-shallot mignonette. Grilled shrimp toast and New England clam chowder are crowd favorites, but seasonal market specials like delicate pan-seared Dover sole or sautéed Gulf red fish on the half-shell are delicious with a side of house smoked-paprika vinaigrette.
