On a busy corner of the Drag (UT's commercial strip), this nuevo barbecue joint—which many locals consider among the best in town—has a deep list of menu options not found at old-school pits. The beef is trumpeted as all natural and hormone-free, but perhaps more important, it's tender, tasty, and perfectly juicy. Side dishes are vegetarian-friendly: two kinds of beans (black and BBQ), a couple of slaw options, potato salad, home fries, and collard greens. Also on the menu are garden salads and a few Cajun dishes. There are daily chalkboard specials.

On the recommendation of the visitors center we tried this place. It is a cute building. You place your order at the counter, take a seat and they bring it to you. While the brisket was tender and delicious, the sausage was the same as you can get anywhere and the pork rib was a bit tough and lacked flavor. We didn't reallt like the sauce. The staff was very friedly and cheerful, however, it couldn't make up for the missing flavor in the meat.
