Vespaio's kid sister has quickly harnessed the lion's share of popularity on South Congress. Known for its tantalizing anti-pasti counter filled with delectable charcuterie, pâtés, cheeses, and salads, this more casual café has an authentic trattoria feel complete with brightly colored Italian countryside tablecloths. Sink your fork into a bowl of plump gnocchi bathed in garlicky tomato-arrabiata sauce, or nibble on a slice of classic Margherita pizza studded with garden-fresh basil. Juicy hanger steak and crispy french fries (bistecca con patate fritte) leave you wanting more, but don't fill up on dinner; the dessert case is home to some phenomenal treats—the crème puff is about as close to Paris as you can get. Pastries for breakfast or lunch on the patio are alone worth the visit.
