Executive chef Alma Alcocer holds court at this fine-dining institution in the historic Clarksville area downtown, where the menu of "contemporary Texas cuisine" changes regularly. Expect complex dishes that combine Latin and Southwestern flavors with standbys from more continental traditions. Start with crispy oysters on yucca chips with habanero-honey aioli, then move on to the balsamic duck and shrimp with baby vegetables, apples, and Roquefort cheese for an entrée. The sophisticated wine list is carefully selected. Cozy alcoves, a romantic atmosphere, and consistently attentive service make for a memorable evening.
