The second restaurant from the team behind Contigo, the popular meat-focused farm-to-table operation, is a trendy new endeavor with a heavy emphasis on seasonal vegetables. Housed in an impeccably restored eastside post office, the interiors, with mixed, natural hardwoods and earthy tones, are as sleek and streamlined as the creative cuisine. The menu changes frequently, but the accomplished chefs consistently deliver surprising standouts like beet salad and sunchoke custard. Modest portions of artfully presented vegetables are the stars, but diners can still find expertly prepared proteins (from Cornish hen to Spanish mackerel) for their main course. Wine, beer, and bar food are served on the patio. The adjacent space is home to the new Counter Café location.
