Fodor's Review

There's no need to be shy about helping yourself to the bountiful spread of salads, meats, vegetables, and desserts on this buffet. Don't miss the apple fritters.

Just like grandma's

We enjoyed visiting this family owned restaurant. Make sure you meet the owner. Great lady! The salad bar was very fresh and had homemade salads. My favorites are the cottage cheese salad and cucumber salad. The fried chicken is the best! Green beans seasoned with ham and peach cobbler that would rival my grandmother's recipes anyday. And check out the homemade pecan pie! I'm told it's there on Sunday lunch only.

sunday dinner

The cold bar was not that great and had limited selection. There daily catfish and baked chicken sign is only Mon-Sat. Isn't Sunday apart of daily?? People were nice and the server was good. Overall food is average, compared to other Smorgasbords, nothing that stood out. Not sure if worth the $12.50. Maybe $8.50. Judge for yourself.

Remove this listing

How on earth did this place get listed. Selection is average, but food is generally tasteless. I am very disappointed that Fodor lists this as now I cannot trust other listings. I had never found a cole slaw I didn't like until I tasted what was served here.

Like Eating at Home... But Better!

Very clean place... relaxed atmosphere... and the family who runs the place couldn't be nicer. Oh, and the food is outstanding. They always have plenty of tasty vegetables (just like grandma used to prepare!) and mouth-watering meats such as baked fish and beef tips w/mushrooms. And don't miss the cobblers and apple fritters for dessert. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
