This Overton Square classic, located in a half-timbered house with an elegantly appointed dining room, serves delicious crepes (try the hot chocolate dessert crepe) and salads and excellent grilled chicken, salmon, and swordfish.

This is not your grandmother's Paulettes - it's your grandmother's grandmother's Paulettes! The never changing menu is so out of fashion that you probably ate your fill of it in the early 1980s. The one redeeming old standby is, not as everyone might think, the popovers, but the cheese soup with a hint of sherry. The servers try really hard, but always look frazzled. And who can blame them? The frenetically loud atmosphere created by "Flight
of the Bumblebees" music and unforgiving tile floors is anything but peaceful. And forget the romance - you can't hear your partners voice in the din! Pass this one on by and have a beer next door at Boscos.

I live in Memphis and Paulette's is one of mine and my family's favorite restaraunts here. It is a fine dining experience in a very cozy atmosphere. There is a piano player at times and the service is very good. The food is great especially accompanied by the homemade popovers with strawberry butter. I would highly recommend Paulette's.
