Mingus Mill

Museum Village, Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Fodor's Review:

The Mingus Mill is a working, water-powered gristmill. In its time, the late 19th century, this was the state-of-the-art in grist mills, the two large grist stones powered by a store-bought turbine rather than a hand-built wheel. You can watch the miller make cornmeal, and even buy a pound of it.
