Blue Boar Inn

$-$$, Robbinsville

User Rating: ***** 5.0

Fodor's Review:

On the outside, it looks like a mountain inn for bear and wild boar hunters. Inside, it has been totally redone, with upscale modern furnishings, including air-conditioning and TVs. Each room has a porch. You can kayak or canoe on nearby Lake Santeetlah. A full breakfast is included, and dinner is available at an extra charge. Originally built in 1950 by a Cincinnati beer magnate, today -- because the county is legally dry -- no alcohol is sold at the lodge.

Stop chasing relaxation, its hiding out waiting at the blue boar

Posted by Josh from Atlanta, GA on 8/6/06

60 seconds after I stepped into the Blue Boar in I felt the stress just disappear. A classy place with great dining nestled in the national forest. You can have it so quiet you can hear the wind, or take part in the the outdoor adventure activites in the area. The food rivals most top resturants so dining is a pleasure to the palette. The Inn Keepers are gracious and pay attention to the small details.
