Fodor's Expert Review Traditional Old Tyme Music

On some days in spring and summer, usually Wednesdays through Saturdays, traditional "Old Tyme" mountain music can be heard at the Cable Mill area of the Cades Cove Visitor Center from 10:30–3. There's also an Old Tyme mountain music jam session from 1–3 pm on the first and third Saturdays of the month, June through August, at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center near Cherokee. Other music programs are offered at the Elkmont amphitheater on Sundays at 8 pm in summer. Confirm times and places at park visitor centers, as they are subject to change.
