Set on 31 acres of lush green forest on the Norbeck Wildlife preserve, the K Bar S Lodge is the perfect location for a weekend getaway or a destination business conference (groups up to 200 can easily be accommodated). Be sure to request one of the rooms with a private deck, which offer picture-perfect views of Mount Rushmore. Pros: Premier lodging in the Black Hills, can see Mount Rushmore off room balconies, staff is extremely personable. Cons: Can be crowded if special events are going on, be sure to ask during booking.
