Art and antiques abound in a circa 1820 home turned storybook inn. Look for the little luxuries—down pillows and duvets, a CD player in each room, and fresh flowers. The best rooms open out onto the veranda (No. 2) or the courtyard garden (No. 7). Breakfast, afternoon tea, evening hors d'oeuvres, and dessert are included in the rate. Visiting celebrities have included Barbra Streisand, Jeff Bridges, and Dennis Quaid. The remodeled house across the street has eight more rooms, each of which has a gas fireplace, a whirlpool bath, a private entrance, and a porch.
