Dagwood's Deli

¢-$, Delicatessens, Myrtle Beach

User Rating: ***** 4.6

Fodor's Review:

Dagwood and Blondie could split one of the masterful sandwiches at Dagwood's Deli. There are the usual suspects -- ham, turkey, and the like -- but you won't regret trying one of the more distinctive creations, such as blackened mahimahi with homemade pineapple salsa, or the grilled chicken breast with bacon, provolone, and ranch dressing. Salads and burgers round out the menu, and they deliver (for $1) to most of Myrtle Beach. Dagwood's is open until 6 on Friday and Saturday, so you can duck in on those days for an early dinner. (On other days they close at 4.)

Take it from a local...

I've eaten at Dagwood's since it opened. They really care about every detail. Locals line up at lunchtime for the best sandwiches, huge portions, and very high quality, for very reasonable prices. Distinctive signature sandwiches, always skillfully prepared. My wife and I have loved this place for almost 10 years, and eat there at least once a week.

My wife and I had a great sandwiches to start out the new year. The blackened mahi-mahi with a homemade pinapple salsa was great. Homemade potato soup was also very good.
