Murrells Inlet

Murrells Inlet, a fishing village with some popular seafood restaurants, is a perfect place to rent a fishing boat or join an excursion. A notable garden and state park provide other diversions from the beach. Though there are a few chain hotels, they aren't anywhere near the water, and the village is a better day trip, unless you've rented a waterfront cottage.
