This contemporary restaurant, which was formerly on Lady's Island, has a new home in a historic brick building in Port Royal, 6 mi southwest of Beaufort. The location affords waterfront views, which are best from the second story, although some downstairs tables also offer a glimpse of the blue. The move has brought major changes; lunch is no longer served, and "Chip" Ulbrich is no longer a partner. For now, owner Richard Wilson is in the kitchen. He continues creating imaginative Southern cuisine, and the menu keeps evolving. The food is fresh, elegant, and artistically presented. Foodies love that they can get foie gras in crepes and other dishes. Seafood is the obvious specialty; try the shrimp and scallops over red-pepper risotto with fried prosciutto and spinach. The staff is well-trained and knowledgeable.
