John Mark Verdier House Museum, built in the Federal style, has been restored and furnished as it would have been between its construction in 1805 and the visit of Lafayette in 1825. It was the headquarters for Union forces during the Civil War. A combination ticket that gets you into the Beaufort Museum & Arsenal (under renovations until Spring 2009) and the John Mark Verdier House Museum saves you $1.
