The building is old enough to have some personality, and the professional staffers diligently do their duty, but more importantly, the kitchen serves flavorful food, highlighted by dishes like roasted calamari with sun-dried tomatoes and olives, bouillabaisse, and filet mignon with chanterelles. The wine list is extensive, and there's outdoor seating on a third-floor porch for toasting the sunset.
