Fodor's Review

This site includes the last 28 acres of the plantation owned by Charles Pinckney, a drafter and signer of the U.S. Constitution. You can tour an 1820s coastal cottage, constructed after Pinckney's death, that features interpretive exhibits about the man, the Constitution, and slave life. A nature trail leads to the archaeological foundations of three slave houses.
