Irvin~House Vineyards Review

Located in idyllic countryside 40 minutes from downtown Charleston, Irvin~House—boasting 11 acres of vineyards—has evolved impressively from the first bottling of its muscadine wine in 2003. The owners have achieved notoriety in brewing circles thanks to their sweet-tea vodka, Firefly, deftly seasoned with tea from a Lowcountry plantation. Their mainstay remains muscadine wines, more in demand than ever thanks to their heart-healthy antioxidants. You can enjoy a $3 tasting ($6 for vodkas) at the retrofitted barn, which is also outfitted with everything country, from fried peanuts to preserves.
