In just a few years, the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival has become a four-day, favored culinary playground for the nation's leading chefs (including several already from Charleston), food writers, and, of course, foodies. Held in late February and early March, events emphasize the Lowcountry's foodways and heritage, as well as restaurant dinners exclusive to the festival that pair Charleston-area chefs with national colleagues.
