Tomato Shed Cafe

Tomato Shed Cafe Review

Open only for lunch on weekdays, the Tomato Shed Cafe presents a banquet of locally raised delicacies. Owners and farmers Pete and Babs Ambrose maintain a 135-acre farm on Wadmalaw Island, sourcing grounds for the restaurant. The menu emphasizes seasonal choices, allowing for fresh butter beans, cabbage, collards, cucumber salad, and rutabaga casserole. These veggies sit well with the Tomato Shed's other offerings, such as peel-and-eat shrimp from local waters, barbecue, crab cakes, and roast pork. Be sure to grab a bag of boiled peanuts on your way out.
