Fodor's Review

The graffiti-splashed walls and tongue-in-cheek name make the Recovery Room a favorite for hipsters. In addition to cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon, this watering hole under the U.S. Highway 17 bridge serves up brunch, lunch, a late-night menu, and even amateur pole dancing on Monday night. Go for the tater tachos (tater tots covered in shredded cheeses, jalapeños, tomatoes, and onions) or the wings available in a dozen different sauces. The windows may be few and the view

muted, but look at it this way: at least nobody will see you scarf down an order of "chicken biscuits"—fried chicken tenders sopping with honey or gravy over a homemade biscuit.
