Boathouse Restaurant
Boathouse Restaurant Review
Large portions of fresh seafood at reasonable prices make both Charleston-area branches of this restaurant wildly popular. The shrimp hush puppies with spicy mayonnaise and lightly battered fried shrimp and oysters are irresistible. Entrées come with mashed potatoes, grits, collard greens, or blue-cheese coleslaw. The original Isle of Palms location is right on the water, so tables are hard to come by. At the Upper King branch, which is in a more central location, the architecture is strikingly contemporary, with a fisherman's boat hoisted at the bar. Brunch is popular on Sunday.

The seafood here isn't too bad. I do like the atmosphere at the downtown location but the IOP locale can be a bit too crowded w/ tourists.
