Hampton Inn–Historic District Review

Hardwood floors, a fireplace, and cozy new furnishings in the lobby of what was once an 1800s warehouse help elevate this chain hotel a bit above the rest. New case goods and flat-screen TVs give a fresh and inviting feel to guest rooms, which are not large but have little perks like coffeemakers. The cornhole game set-up in the courtyard is a welcoming touch, and the location is perfect for exploring downtown.

    Hampton Inn-Historic District Review

We stayed at the Hampton Inn while attending a wedding and were very satisfied with the hotel. The service was outstanding due to the fact that the people working at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The airlines lost our luggage (it arrived 24 hours after we did) and the hotel staff provided us with toiletries and bottled water and coupons and moral support :) Our room was dull and a bit dark but huge. The breakfast was plentiful but the "hot" food items were pretty disgusting. After checking out the rooms in the Embassy Suites next door, I'm glad we chose the cheaper option because our rooms were better in every respect!!!!
