This one-time bank wears a restored entrance portico from 1874. Fountains bubble in the three interior garden courtyards. This is not a glamorous property, but it has clean, spacious suites with nice touches like antique reproductions and canopy beds. The efficient and friendly staff dotes on families and dispense chocolate-chip cookies.

We stayed in a room in the Hayne's building. The room was nice and the service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel also hosts a number of events which made us feel as though we were intruding when walking to our room. On the Saturday night of our stay there was a party going on in one of the ballrooms with an extremely loud DJ. Although the party was two floors below us, we could make out the lyrics of the music. Although I know that it is impossible to eliminate hotel noise, when I am paying this much for a room, I expect to be able to sleep at night.
