Fodor's Review:

Spoleto USA, founded by the composer Gian Carlo Menotti in 1977, is a world-famous celebration of the arts and Charleston's premiere cultural event. From late May to early June, the city teems with events from sunup to well past sundown. Concert halls, theaters, parks, churches, streets, and gardens become the stage for opera, dance, theater, symphonic and chamber music, jazz, and the visual arts.
