French Quarter Inn
At a Glance
- located in the heart of the market area yet a quiet haven
- excellent restaurant (Tristan) on premises
Pros
- no pool or fitness area
- being smack in the busy Market has its downside
Cons
French Quarter Inn Review
The first architectural detail you'll notice in this boutique hotel known for its chic French style is a circular staircase with a wrought-iron bannister embellished with iron leaves. Guests appreciate the lavish breakfasts, the afternoon wine and cheese reception, and evening cookies and milk. The pillow menu is a luxury; you can order whatever kind you desire, including big body pillows. Some rooms have fireplaces, others balconies. Among the best are No. 220, a business suite with a corner office niche overlooking the courtyard, and No. 104, with a spacious L-shape design. You'll get champagne at check-in, too.

An excellent place to stay while in Charleston. The service is impecable and considerate. They offer morning breakfast, which is okay, and afternoon wine and cheese, which was very nice after a day of touring. The room was spacious and in a perfect location.
