Pirates once hung from gallows here; now it's a serene park with Charleston benches—small wood-slat benches with cast-iron sides—and views of the harbor and Fort Sumter. Children love to climb on the replica cannon and pile of cannonballs.

A pleasing small park area at the tip of the city's peninsula. Has a nice view of the harbor on one side and big, lovely houses on the other. The park itself is small, with cannons, statues, old oak trees, and a bandstand. A pleasant walk-through.
