Charleston Sights

Charleston Place

Charleston Place Review

The city's most renowned hotel is flanked by upscale boutiques and specialty shops. Stop by for afternoon tea at the classy Thoroughbred Club. The city's finest public rest rooms are downstairs by the shoe-shine station. Entrances for the garage and reception area are on Hasell Street between Meeting and King streets.

The fountain out front is beautiful. The inside is indeed very nicely done, but the bathrooms rate a -2 and don't deserve to be mentioned. If you need to use the bathrooms, plan to wait. A marble counter for two sinks and two wooden slap together stalls aren't worth the trip to see, however. The boutiques are nice and a couple are novel but over-priced. Staff is very helpful. Best part is the shoe-shine.
