$-$$$, Moncks Corner
Fodor's Review:
On a former rice plantation outside of Moncks Corner, this inn overlooks the Cooper River. The grounds, studded with live oaks, were designed by landscape architect Loutrell Briggs. Antiques and reproductions fill the big, sprawling house with five working fireplaces. Guest rooms have wood floors and four-poster beds. This is not a white-pillared mansion, though; it's a more modest farmhouse.
