King Street

Fodor's Review:

King Street is the major shopping street in town. Lower King (from Broad to Market streets) is lined with high-end antiques dealers. Middle King (from Market to Calhoun streets) is a mix of national chains like Banana Republic and Pottery Barn. Upper King (from Calhoun Street to Cannon Street) is the up-and-coming area where fashionistas like the alternative shops such as Putumayo. That area has been dubbed the Design District as well, for the furniture and interior-design stores selling home fashion. Some are minimalist contemporary, others carry Euro-antiques, and they all will ship.
