Fodor's Review

If you've been on the road too long, this circa 1888 inn will provide warmth and sustenance. Many residents of this tree-lined village consider this their neighborhood tavern. The second, smaller dining room is cozy, and the outdoor space under the market umbrellas is open and airy. Expect contemporary takes on Southern favorites like lump crab cakes, shrimp and grits, and especially the fresh vegetables, like a butter beans mélange. From the open kitchen, the chefs can perfectly sauté the catch of the day. Here, pork tenderloin may have a ginger-peachy glaze. In season, plump softshell crabs are deftly fried. Frank Sinatra serenades as you cleanse your palate with a tart key lime pie with a crunchy crust and passion-fruit coulis.
