Fodor's Review

Near Wentworth Mansion, this former residential home is full of hand-carved marble fireplaces and stained-glass windows. The award-winning eatery sets a sophisticated tone with low lighting and yellow roses atop each table. Executive Chef Marc Collins emphasizes seasonal offerings, highlighted by the menu's heirloom tomato salad, a deconstructed BLT made with bacon gelée, romaine lettuce foam, and white-grain toast. Collins also shows off his Texan extraction, serving

an antelope dish, the free-range game procured from the Broken Arrow Ranch in Texas hill country. The tender variation spiced with horseradish is a must-eat for the adventurous. For those looking for an intimate, romantic meal, the quiet comfort of Circa 1886 is hard to top.

Well Done!

We were not let down at all at Circa 1886. The food and service as well as atmosphere were outstanding. Trust your waiter's suggestions. We were not disappointed.
