Entertainment Overview
An international spotlight is trained on Charleston from late May to early June with the Spoleto Festival USA, one of the world's biggest arts festivals; Piccolo Spoleto, running concurrently, showcases local and regional talent. The city also offers other seasonal festivals, as well as concerts and recitals. There's a wide selection of bars and clubs, located mostly downtown. Live music is especially popular, so you won't have trouble finding a place with musicians playing jazz. Perhaps the best way to spend an evening, however, is to take a dinner cruise around the harbor.
