Built in 1912 by the patriarch of the prominent Fishburne family, this B&B has all of the accoutrements of a Lowcountry mansion, from its high ceilings to the charming literary nook, as well as modern-day luxuries like a crescent-shaped pool and a tennis court. There's even a garden pergola tucked among the greenery. The owners are hospitable and graciously assist guests. The country breakfast can be taken in the formal dining room or outdoors. Within the elegantly decorated B&B, contemporary artwork is juxtaposed with heirloom antiques. The guest rooms have canopied or four-poster queen-size beds. The owners' collection of vintage dollhouses, paper dolls, and antique dolls is in the former parlor and available for viewing by prearranged tour (you can purchase the collectibles, too).
