Maria's Seaside Cafe

Maria's Seaside Cafe Review

This family-owned lunch and dinner spot across the street from the beach is a standout on a strip of ice cream stands, take-out shacks, and motels that have seen better days. Maria's Mediterranean menu has such refined choices as pan-seared Stonington scallops over Italian couscous with lobster meat and black-truffle essence. The ahi tuna sashimi appetizer with avocado, tomatoes, and crispy tortilla strips is also notable. There is a great wine list and raw bar selections. Outdoor seating is cleverly divided into a section with quiet tables for two on one side and larger tables to accommodate families on the other.
