Aunt Carrie's Review

The perfectly textured clam cakes are the size of baseballs at this authentic Point Judith seafood dinner hall where you can choose to eat in the 125-seat dining hall or order at the take-out window and use the picnic tables across the street. You won't find a better lobster roll anywhere else: mounds of fresh lobster meat with lettuce and just enough mayo are pressed between two hulking grilled slices of freshly baked bread. There's even a lobster BLT. The clam chowder comes three ways: red, white, and clear. Family-owned for four generations, the recipes for several varieties of namesake Carrie Cooper's pies are still in use. The lines can get pretty long in the thick of summer, but the wait is worth it. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the restaurant is BYOB.

Delicious home-cooking right on the water

We live in RI and always make it a point to go to Aunt Carrie's a few times a year. We've had the clam cakes, chock full of clams, lobster, which is always sweet and delicious, and the baked fish. The mashed potatoes are wonderful, too. Their breads and pies are all homemade and yummy, so make sure you save room for them, too!
