The Richards Bed and Breakfast

144 Gibson Ave., Narragansett, Rhode Island, 02882, USA

Accomplished gardener Nancy Richards, who owns and operates this circa-1884 English-style stone mansion as a bed-and-breakfast with her husband, Steven, has created a lovely sanctuary for rest and relaxation. The lush grounds are alive with blooming color most of the year, and a koi pond and walking path to the shore add to the tranquillity. Though only a mile from Narragansett Town Beach, this place provides a much different experience than your typical summerhouse. Rooms are light and airy, with English antiques, floral-print furniture, and fireplaces. The white rope hammock behind the house is where you want to be in warm weather. Try the corn and sage frittata if it's offered at breakfast.
