Temple Review

Occupying the dark and sexy basement of the Renaissance Providence hotel is this Meditteranean restaurant and nightclub with comfy half-circle orange booths and luxurious drapes. An eclectic menu includes brick oven flatbread pizzas; chicken, lamb, and vegetable tagines; and aromatic stews brought to the table in covered pots. The cocktail menu has an irresistible array of martinis and other specialties including the delicious Mason's Jar, made with vodka, ginger puree, fresh lime, and ginger beer. The outdoor teak patio is a relaxing spot to sip a drink and take in the view of the State House across the street. The late-night scene can get pretty loud. Pig roasts take place in the cocktail lounge every Friday night from 5 to 7.
