Providence Performing Arts Center

Providence Performing Arts Center Review

Narrowly escaping the wrecking ball in the 1970s, the 3,200-seat Providence Performing Arts Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Major renovations restored the stage, lobby, and arcade to their original splendor as when it opened in 1928 as a Loew's Movie Palace. It hosts Broadway shows, concerts, and other large-scale events. Its mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ is a source of pride.
