Providence Restaurants

Gracie's Review

The city's best spot for a romantic meal is Table 21 in a cozy, private alcove at Ellen Gracyalny's stellar downtown restaurant. Located across the street from Trinity Rep, Gracie's mixes sophistication with whimsy in the main dining room with star-themed decor. Executive chef Matthew Varga is known for wowing guests with pleasant little surprises. The amazing triple-cooked potato medallion accompanying mouthwatering Chatham cod loin might make you reevaluate your low-carb diet. The service here is excellent. A three-course prix-fixe menu for $40 is available nightly, but for true excitement, opt for Varga's five- or seven-course tasting and see what delights come your way.
