In the heart of Federal Hill, boisterous Angelo's has been dispensing reliably good home-style red-sauce fare and old-world charm since the 1920s. Locals come for prodigious portions of fresh, simply prepared pasta and traditional Italian specialties (fried peppers, veal parmigiana) at bargain prices. The casual dining room received a much-welcomed remodel in 2008, which included the addition of a friendly little bar.
